New Nha Trang - Saigon railway stations put in operation
PSNews – Four new stations under a sub-project to upgrade the Nha Trang – Sai Gon railway section, which is part of the project to renovate and upgrade the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City railway route, will be put into operation in July.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the new four railway stations are Phong Phu, Vinh Tan, Ham Lien stations in Binh Thuan Province, and the Cam Thinh Dong stations in Khanh Hoa Province. They are all specialized stations.
The Vietnam Railway Corporation is tasked to manage and operate the new railway stations in accordance with their designed functions, and approved the operational plan, while ensuring safety and efficiency.
The sub-project of upgrading the 411-km Nha Trang – Sai Gon railway section, a part of the project to renovate and upgrade the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City railway route, has received an investment worth nearly 1.1 trillion VND (over 47 million USD).
The funding for this subproject will be sourced from the State budget under the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period.
