Vietnamese delegation wins gold medal at International Olympiad of Metropolises
The delegation of Hanoi students competing at the 6th International Olympiad of Metropolises bagged one gold and six silver medals at the individual competitions.
This information was announced by the Hanoi Municipal Department of Education and Training on December 14. Accordingly, the Vietnamese team also won the silver cup at the team competition and landed in the top 5 best cities in the category of blitz-contest.
This year, the Vietnamese delegation, consisting of eight students from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, competed in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Informatics. Nguyen Tri Duc claimed the gold medal.
As known, the Olympiad of Metropolises is an international team competition, which is held in Moscow every year. Contestants are students aged from 14 to 18, who live in big metropolises around the world.
This year, the competition took place from December 6-13 via the online format, drawing the participation of 35 teams from big cities in the world.
