Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc visits General Vilay Lakhamphong

On behalf of the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc thanked the Lao  Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security and other Lao senior officials for their warm welcome, and conveyed Minister of Public Security of Vietnam General To Lam’s New Year greetings to the entire Lao People's Public Security Force.

Briefing Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Vilay Lakhamphong on the results of the visit of the high-level delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc said that the delegation visited and worked with the police force in Vangxai village group, Xaysettha district, Vientiane capital.

He also informed that he had talks with a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Laos, and the two sides agreed on many important cooperation fields, including joining efforts in preventing and fighting drug-related crimes, exchanging experience in force building, rearranging the organizational structure, opening Lao language training classes for Vietnamese police officers and Vietnamese language training courses for Lao police officers, teaming up in developing a project on a national population data and project on granting ID cards, building the Political Academy of the Lao People's Public Security, building a detoxification center.

Speaking at the meeting, Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Vilay Lakhamphong warmly welcomed  Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security to Laos and expressed delight at the positive results of the talks between the visiting delegation and agencies and units under the Ministry of Public Security of Laos.

He also extended thanks and best wishes to Minister To Lam as well as the visiting delegation.
