Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To meets voters in Yen Phong district of Bac Ninh
National Assembly (NA) deputy of Bac Ninh province and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, together with other members of the National Assembly delegation of Bac Ninh province had a meeting with voters in Bac Ninh city to brief them on the results of the 6th sitting of the 15th National Assembly, on December 5.
At the meeting, a representative of the NA delegation of Bac Ninh province, briefed voters on the results of the 6th sitting, and voters the raised a number of questions to central and local authorities.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To promised that the Bac Ninh Province NA delegation will convey local voters’ comments on draft laws to the NA, and emphasized that the law-making process has been carried out in a scientific, professional manner and then carefully reviewed by competent agencies and commented by voters.
Regarding voters’ opinions on the Draft Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To stated that the Government pursues the zero-tolerance alcohol policy although some NA deputies still disagree with it. The Deputy Minister said, he believed, the NA would finally adopt aabsolute ban on drink-driving. He also stressed that the number of traffic accidents due to drink-driving has been high in recent times.
Regarding the deployment of regular police officers to the grassroots levels, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To emphasized the importance of the policy, citing that it has contributed positively to ensuring security and order in the countryside.
Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To also informed voters of the important results of the Eighth plenum of 13th Party Central Committee.
