Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam estated that 2023 has been a year of our country’s success in terms of Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy, making an important hallmark in the country's diplomatic history.

The success has contributed to raising the country's position, prestige and beautifying its image in the international arena.

The Minister of Public Security also affirmed that the Public Security Forces have made a contribution to the country’s success in foreign affairs.

Over the year, the Ministry of Public Security led the entire Public Security Forces to seriously implement the Party and State's foreign policy and guidelines, and closely coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, particularly Vietnam’s representative agencies in foreign countries, in strengthening international cooperation, relations and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese citizens abroad.

For his part, Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in general and Vietnam’s representative agencies abroad in particular will continue to coordinate closely with functional units of the Ministry of Public Security in all fields, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of the country’s foreign affairs, serving the task of protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety.
