MPS and Ministry of Information and Communications sign coordination regulation
General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, and Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications, co-chaired a ceremony to sign the coordination regulation between the two agencies on ensuring national security, social order and safety, in Hanoi, on November 24.

Over the past time, the two ministries strengthened their coordination in the fields of information security and safety, internal political security, as well as in preventing hostile’s propaganda activities against the Party and State and applying information technology in crime prevention and control.
The coordination between the two ministries has made an important contribution to realizing guidelines of the Party, State’s policies and laws on the development of information and communication while ensuring a secure and safe information environment for people.
The regulation stipulates the principles, scope, content, form and responsibility of the coordination of the two ministries in protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, and fighting against crime.
Based on the new coordination regulations, the two ministries will lead their subunits to strengthen coordination in the fields relevant to their work.
Annually, the two ministries will alternately host a conference to review the results of coordination and draw up specific plans for their coordination in the following year.
