Ca Mau Provincial Police join blood donation day
PSNews-In the morning of July 2nd, thousands of people in Ca Mau participated in the “Giot hong Dat Mui”(Blood donation in the Cape Land”, part of the nationwide blood donation campaign that runs thru various provinces all over Vietnam.
July has come and students have started their summer vacation, which leads to a severe shortage of blood for medical purposes.
With a sense of responsibility “To the country we ready to devote our lives and to serve the people”, some 60 officers of the Ca Mau Provincial Police participated in the blood donation day, in response to the “Red Journey” 2017 (the nationwide blood donation campaign).
Knowing that the “Red Journey” 2017 would start in Ca Mau, the Youth Union Chapter of the Ca Mau Provincial Police volunteered to join the campaign in an enthusiastic manner.
“We have well understood the meaning of the campaign so we, the 60 officers of Ca Mau Police, all feel pleased to donate our blood in the hope that the blood would help save sick people in need,” said Junior Lieutenant Le Cam Phung, who joined the campaign for the third time.
The first day of the campaign wrapped up with 548 blood units donated, a significant source for the treatment of patients amid a shortage of blood reserves.
