Criminal Records Department holds first Party Congress

PSNews - Major General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and gave a speech at the 1st Party Congress for the 2020 – 2025 term of the Department of Criminal Records on August 4.

According to reports at the vent, the Party organization of the Department of Criminal Records led the entire criminal records and archives management sector to successfully fulfill their professional tasks during the last term, facilitating the operations of public security units and agencies nationwide.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To expressed high consensus with the missions of the Party organization in the 2020-2025 term articulated in the political report of the Congress.

He requested the Party organization to thoroughly grasp directives and resolutions of the Party Central Committee and the Public Security Central Party Committee on strengthening the leadership of the Party in preventing and fighting crimes in the new situation.

The Deputy Minister asked the Party Committee and leaders of the Department of Criminal Records to effectively implement guidelines of the Public Security Central Party Committee on management of criminal records and archives, meeting professional requirements of the Public Security Forces.

 It should also strictly observe discipline and regulations of State secrets as well as diversify methods of collecting and managing criminal information.

At the Congress, delegates discussed and gave ideas to the draft documents of the 7th Public Security Central Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress. They also elected the Executive Committee of the Party organization for the term of 2020 - 2025 and a delegation to attend the 7th Public Security Central Party Congress.
