Reports delivered at the meeting read that, following the Prime Minister’s Directive 16, the Hanoi Municipal Police Department has drawn up drastic plans toensure public security and order while taking various preventive measures against the COVID-19 epidemic.

Particularly, the Hanoi police have set up 30 checkpoints on the city’s gateways with the aim of early detecting and quarantining cases with signs of COVID-19 infection.
They have also attached importance to enforcing Directive16 by enhancing patrols and checks 24/24 and strictly handling violations of the directive.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son acknowledged and praisedthe efforts ofthe Hanoi Municipal Police Department in the fight against COVID-19 over the past time.
According to the Deputy Minister, thanks to timely and effective preventive measures by the local Public Security Forces, the COVID-19 situation has been put under control in Ha Noi.

However, they should uphold their vigilance and determination to prevent the virus from spreading in the local community while actively fighting crimes, contributing to ensuring political security, social order and safety in the locality.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that, over the past few days, many people have still violated thesocial distancing regulations. He requested the Hanoi police to strictly handle cases of violating the Prime Minister's Directive 16.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son presented VND 50 million, various medical facemasks and protective clothing to local police officers and soldiers who are involved directly in the fight against COVID-19.
