Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh receives outgoing Chief Representative of Lao Security Ministry in Vietnam
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, on March 27 received Colonel Bounlame Phaxaysombath, outgoing Chief Representative of the Lao Ministry of Security in Vietnam.

At the meeting, the host congratulated the guest on his successful term of office in Vietnam and spoke highly of the positive and effective contributions of Mr. Bounlame Phaxaysombath and the Lao Ministry of Security’s Representative Office to the comprehensive cooperation between the two public security forces.
The Vietnamese Deputy Minister hoped that that in the coming time, Colonel Bounlame Phaxaysombath will further contribute to developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in general as well as the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Lao Ministry of Security in particular for peace, stability and development of the ASEAN and the world.

For his part, the outgoing Lao Chief Representative expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and affirmed that, in his new working position, he will foster the relations between Vietnam and Lao as well as between the two ministries for benefits of the two peoples.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh presented the Medal of Homeland Security Protection to Mr. Bounlame Phaxaysombath.
