General Department of Politics held conference to summarize the building of People’s Public Security Forces

PSNews – The General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces should continue to serve as a strategic advisor on the work of Party building and the building of the People’s Public Security Forces.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security made the above remarks at a conference, held on December 29 in Hanoi to review the building of the People’s Public Security Forces.

The conference also saw the participation of Deputy Ministers of Public Security; leaders of the General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces and many representatives from General Departments, High Commands and relevant units under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

At the conference, Major General Nguyen Quang Chu, Vice Secretary of the General Department of Politics’ Party Committee briefed the delegates on the outcomes of the 72nd National Public Security Conference; the results of the building of the People’s Public Security Forces and the task performance of the General Department in 2016 and key tasks for 2017.

Accordingly, the Public Security Forces consistently followed directions of the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security with the action slogan "Initiative, discipline, responsibility and efficiency" to successfully fulfill all key tasks relating to the building of the People’s Public Security Forces, in 2016.

At the conference, delegates also focused on clarifying strengths and weaknesses in building the forces, then canvassed many sound solutions to better help the General Department to fulfill its assigned tasks for 2017.

Addressing the conference, Minister To Lam praised the General Department of Politics for their achievements in 2016.

He said, the 72nd National Public Security Conference has affirmed that the Party building and the building of the Public Security Forces have seen many positive developments, contributing to ensuring security and order, and serving the country’s economic development and foreign affairs.

He then urged the General Department of Politics to continue serving as a strategic advisor on Party building and building of the People’s Public Security Forces.

At the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also presented Emulation Flags from the Ministry of Public Security to 11 excellent units under the General Department of Politics for their outstanding achievements in implementing “All People Protecting National Security”.
