Homeland Security Department reviews task performance in 2018
PSNews – The Homeland Security Department under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a conference to review its task performance in 2018 and announce its new working plans for 2019.

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam attended the event and delivered a keynote speech at the conference, which was held on January 9. The event was chaired by Major General Nguyen Manh Dung, Director of the Department of Homeland Security.
According to reports at the conference, leaders of the Department directed all sub-units to strictly follow the set targets and task requirements; actively grasp the situation to provide good advice to the Party and State on issues related to protection of homeland security; take the initiative in preventing, detecting and combating any conspiracies and activities infringing upon national security of hostile forces, reactionary individuals and organizations in an attempt to cause social disturbances.

The Department also well performed its role of state management of terrorism prevention and fight as well as of the sensitive fields of religion, ethnic minority, and rural security and other social issues.
After a year implementing the emulation movement, 270 teams and officers of the Department were honored. Particularly, one team was presented with the Emulation Flag by the Government, 10 teams and 33 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the MPS. The Department was presented with the Emulation Flag by the MPS.
