Under the decision that will come into effect on October 1, 2017, the Minister of Public Security has appointed Major General Luong Tam Quang as Director of the Ministry of Public Security’s Office (who is also the Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Security).
Major General Luong Tam Quang was Deputy Director of the Ministry of Public Security’s Office before the appointment.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister To Lam warmly congratulated Major General Luong Tam Quang on his promotion.
Minister To Lam stressed that Major General Luong Tam Quang is a well-trained officer at the People's Security Academy, who has grown up from the practical work of the security forces.
Minister To Lam asked Major General Luong Tam Quang to continue upholding sense of responsibility and bringing into play all achievements, and focusing on building the Ministry of Public Security’s Office as a strong and united organization, so as to provide the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security with good advice on directing public security forces and supporting the Party and State in drafting policies and solutions to ensure national security, social order and safety.
