At the working session, Major General Ma Van La, Director of the Bac Kan Provincial Police reported Minister To Lam on the outcomes of ensuring security and order in 2017 and the first month implementing the campaign to crack down on crime and ensure security and order during the Tet (lunar New Year festival) season 2018.
In 2017, the Bac Kan police have synchronously and effectively deployed professional measures with a focus on implementing its key tasks set out in the Resolutions of the Central Party Committee of Public Security. Therefore, the province’s security and order situation has been stable, contributing to the development of the local economy, culture and society.
During the peak periods, the provincial police force has seriously and effectively implemented plans to attack crimes and social evils while controlling traffic accidents and fire incidents.

Speaking at the working session, Minister To Lam highly appreciated the outstanding achievement of the police officers and soldiers of the Bac Kan Police.
Minister To Lam required that each police officer and soldier should improve their political stance and well implement the motto "Proactive, innovative, disciplined, responsible and effective".
Besides, the police force should strictly observe the discipline, orders from the higher levels, working procedures and regulations of the Public Security Forces, beautifying the image of the Public Security Forces in general and the Bac Kan police in particular in people's hearts.
Regarding its tasks in the immediate time, the Minister asked the Bac Kan police to well carry out the campaign to crack down on crime and protect security and order during the Lunar New Year festival 2018, at the same time enhance its state management role in security and order maintenance, fire prevention and traffic safety in order to ensure a safe and happy Tet for the local people.
