Minister To Lam receives Russian Ambassador to Vietnam
General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, on June 19 received Mr. Konstantin Vasilievich Vnukov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam.

The event also saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam and Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Ministers of Public Security.
Speaking at the reception, Minister To Lam spoke highly of the long-standing traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
In particular, the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and Russian relevant law enforcement agencies in the fields of protection of national security, crime prevention and fight has seen important developments, and become one of the pillars of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Minister To Lam also hoped that the Russian Ambassador would do his best to promote the strategic partnership between the two countries in general and the cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and relevant agencies of Russia in particular.

For his part, Russian Ambassador Konstantin Vasilievich Vnukov thanked Minister To Lam for his reception and affirmed that the Russian Federation always attaches great importance to and wishes to further promote the comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam in all fields, especially in the prevention and fight against crimes, and public security and order. He also hoped that the relations between the two countries and cooperation between the MPS and relevant agencies of Russia would be further strengthened and expanded.
After the reception, Minister To Lam and Ambassador Konstantin Vasilievich Vnukov, representing each country, signed the Plan on cooperation between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Russian Federation in ensuring international information security in the period of 2020-2021.
