Ministry of Public Security’s leaders works with Can Tho Police

The working session saw the participation of Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho Municipal Party Committee Pham Gia Tuc and leaders of public security units in the locality.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Thuan, Deputy Director of the Can Tho Municipal Police briefed the delegation on the results of task performance, gained by local public security forces in the first 6 months of 2017.

Accordingly, the Can Tho Municipal Police has overcome difficulties and well performed all assigned tasks.

The local police force has proactively advised the Can Tho Municipal Party Committee; People’s Council and People’s Committee on issuing directives and resolutions to direct local Party organizations and people to successfully implement Party and State's guidelines and policies, and Government’s action plans on security and order.

The Can Tho Police has also successfully resolved all issues related to internal security, information security, social security and religious security, contributing to denying complex situations on security and order in the locality over the past time, while discovering and effectively handling criminal cases.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son highly appreciated the achievements of the Can Tho Municipal Police in the past time.

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son sincerely thanked the Can Tho Municipal Party Committee; People’s Council; People’s Committee and local agencies for their supports for the public security forces in general, and the Can Tho Municipal Police in particular, and wished that to the local police force would further receive guidance from the local leadership and efficient support from local agencies and people in the coming time.

He then asked the Can Tho Municipal Police to actively grasp the situation and to reduce the number of accidents, deaths and injuries in traffic accidents.

The Can Tho Municipal Police was urged to ensure security in all areas; to efficiently implement solutions of higher authorities to ensure cultural security, information security, cyber security and economic security, especially political security.

"The force should continue enhancing the replication of good security models; well implementing inter-sector resolutions, closely coordinating with other competent agencies and other armed forces to maintain security and order”, said the Deputy Minister. He also asked “to strictly implement Party’s Resolution on building and strengthening the Party and Directive 05 of the Politburo on enhancing the movement “Learning and following the thought, morals, and style of President Ho Chi Minh”.
