Ministry of Public Security works on measures to reduce 5% of criminal offenses per year

According to a report delivered by Major General To An Xo, Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, at the meeting, over the past 5 years, the fight against crimes in all fields has achieved positive results.
Accordingly, the criminal situation has continuously been improved while the rate of successfully investigated criminal cases has significantly increased.
Delegates at the meeting pointed out various difficulties in crime prevention and fighting and proposed solutions to successfully fulfill the goal of reducing at least 5% of criminal offenses per year.
To conclude the meeting, Minister To Lam praised the efforts of public security agencies and local units over the past time. He also emphasized the directions for the Public Security Forces to reduce the number of criminal offenses by 5% per year not only in 2021 but also in the following years.
The Minister asked the Public Security Forces’s chains of command to closely follow the guidelines of the Party and the State,the resolutions and directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.
He also urged the forces to uphold their sense of responsibility in preventing and fighting crimes as well as promptly honor and popularize effective crime prevention and combat examples in localities.
