Nearly 500 police officers and soldiers compete in sport festival

• Thua Thien – Hue Police launches sport festival
• Police General Department’s Youth Union kicks off traditional sport festival
• People's Security College 2 kicks off traditional sport festival
• More than 1,000 police officers and soldiers join sport festival

The sport festival saw the participation 10 teams with some 500 police officers and soldiers from various units under the provincial police. The teams competed in various categories, including lineup and marching, martial art, shooting or badminton.

Police officers and soldiers of Tuyen Quang had spent time practicing for the festival, especially for martial art and shooting. According to organizers, this year’s festival also saw various renovations for better quality and effectiveness.

At the closing ceremony, the organizers awarded the first prize to the team of Police sector units, the second prize to the Police of Tuyen Quang city and the third prize to the team of Security sector units.

This is also part of activities organized by the Provincial Police to celebrate the 73rd Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Force (August 19) and the National Day.
