Ninh Khanh Prison holds meeting with prisoners and their families
PSNews – The staff of Ninh Khanh Prison on September 20 held the 2018 meeting with families of the prisoners at the prison. Both prisoners and their families were so happy at the meeting and all prisoners promised to work better at the prison to soon return to their families and reintegrate into the community.

As many as 120 prisoners who had made progress during serving their sentences at Ninh Khanh Prison and their families participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the well-serving prisoners and their families listened to an ex-prisoner who now owns a big business. His success story would motivate the prisoners at Ninh Khanh Prison to better serve their sentences so as to soon return to their families and become good citizens.
Leaders of Ninh Khanh Prison also presented 15 packs of gifts to 15 well serving prisoners with their families in an especially difficult state and raised the "Gold Heart Fund" in 2018.
The fundraising was first launched in 2017 by the unit's soldiers and officers as well as families of the prisoners at Ninh Khanh Prison with the aim of supporting and encouraging prisoners with their families in an extremely difficult state.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Loc, Deputy Director of the Police Department of Management of Prison, Compulsory Re-education Center and Reformatory under the Ministry of Public Security said that the meeting and the fundraising for inmates’ families with difficulties are a great encouragement source for prisoners, which help them work and study better at prison and become good citizens when released.
The meeting also serves as an important and practical information channel to strengthen the close interactions between the staff of the prison and the prisoners’ families, and strengthen the bonds between prisoners and their families, contributing to efficiency of re-education and rehabilitation of prisoners.
