Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue reviews operation in H1
- Public Security Forces ensure firefighting and rescue capacities for DIFF 2019
- Police units asked to actively prevent and fight forest fire
In the first 6 months of 2019, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police have strictly implemented the directions of the Government and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on fire prevention and rescue; taken various measures to effectively and promptly handle issues related to fire prevention and fighting and rescue; avoided any big fire or explosion incidents, and ensured fire safety for all political, cultural and social events of the country.
Besides, the Department also advised the MPS to launch an intensive campaign to inspect the fire safety work at business establishments, industrial parks, manufacturing facilities, warehouse with high risks of fire and explosion, and residential areas, while putting on the alert against forest fire.

In addition, the unit also advised the MPS to implement the Resolution of the National Assembly on the supreme supervision of the implementations of policies and laws on fire prevention and fighting in the period of 2014-2018.
Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the MPS, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong praised and highly appreciated the results and achievements of the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue in the past time.
Regarding future missions, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong asked the Department to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the guidance of the Party, polices and laws of the State on fire prevention and fighting and rescue, and mobilize the comprehensive strength of the whole political system and the entire population to prevent fire.
The firefighting force should also complete the institutions and legal framework for fire prevention and fighting and rescue to meet requirements of the real situation and accord with the new organizational structure of the Public Security Forces. The force should also continue to renew contents and methods of popularizing regulations on fire prevention and fighting and rescue, increase checks and inspections over fire prevention and safety, and draw up specific firefighting plans in response to possible fire and explosion.
On this occasion, Colonel Bui Quang Viet, Deputy Director of the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; 4 outstanding individuals and 2 organizations were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Minister of Public Security while other 25 excellent individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue.
