Police units pay tribute to martyrs and war invalids
PSNews - A delegation of the Association of Police Officers from Hung Yen working in Hanoi led by Senior Lieutenant General Pham Dung, Former Deputy Minister of Public Security in collaboration with the Hung Yen Provincial Police and Police of An Thi District (Hung Yen) burnt incense and paid tribute to martyrs and war invalids of the Public Security Forces, and offered presents to wounded soldiers and revolution contributors living in An Thi district.

The delegation visited various families of martyrs and offered flowers in commemoration of police martyr Bui Thi Cuc (Van Du commune) and Le Thi Nguyet (Quang Lang commune).
After visiting families of martyrs, the delegation also hosted a meeting to present 22 gifts (worth VND 1 billion each) to various war invalids and revolution contributors.
That was a meaningful activity, reflecting the fine tradition of our nation of respecting and paying tribute to martyrs and war invalids and national contributors.
* On the occasion of the 70th National Day of Martyrs and Wounded Soldiers, the Hanoi Municipal Police organized a meeting to honor revolution contributors. The event saw participation of Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee Le Hong Phong and Major General Bui Minh Giam, Deputy Director of the General Department of Public Security Politics (G.D 3).
At the meeting, Major General Doan Duy Khuong, Director of the Hanoi Police expressed his gratitude and tribute to over 600 relatives of martyrs, war invalids and revolution contributors. The Major General stressed that the city’s police always attaches great importance to gratitude activities.
On this occasion, Major General Bui Minh Giam awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, People’s Committee of Hanoi and G.D 3 to 6 groups and 4 individuals. Major General Doan Duy Khuong also took the chance to hand Certificates of Merit from the Municipal Police Director to 15 individuals who are wounded soldiers and relatives of martyrs and donated savings-books to 20 needy war invalids and relatives of martyrs.
* Speaking at a meeting with martyrs’ relatives, war invalids and revolution contributors held on July 24 on the occasion of the 70th National Day of Martyrs and Wounded Soldiers, Major General Do Huu Ca, Director of the Hai Phong Municipal Police expressed his gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, martyrs and war invalids of the Public Security for their contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national construction and defense.
In history of the Hai Phong police force, 309 officers of the Hai Phong Municipal Police have been posthumously awarded the title “Martyrs” and thousands of war invalids have been honored. Over the past years, leaders of the Hai Phong Municipal Police always attach great importance to gratitude activities and well implement the Ordinance on National Contributors, and actively carry out gratitude policies and activities.
On anniversaries, especially on July 27, various units under the Hai Phong Municipal Police organize various activities to pay tribute to martyrs and war invalids, and cooperate with local authorities to build gratitude houses for policy beneficiaries or support victims of Agent Orange.
