Public Security Newspaper presents gifts to needy students in flooded area

The Public Security Newspaper in collaboration with Miss Southern Vietnam 2017 Nguyen Thi Hai Yen and other donors presented notebooks and life jackets to needy students in flood-stricken area of Phu Hoi commune, An Phu district, An Giang province.
This year, since the flood season came earlier than forecast, farmers in the upstream commune of Phu Hoi were unable to respond to it. Currently, they have to face with many difficulties in daily life. When the new school year is coming, the equipping of notebooks and life jackets for children is another burden for them.
To help needy students with good school records, the representative office of the Public Security Newspaper in the Mekong Delta invited Miss Southern Vietnam 2017 Nguyen Thi Hai Yen and other donors ((Ms.Dang Thai Hien's family, owner of Ghe Go restaurant in Can Tho; Mr. Do Thanh Huan and Mr. Bui Chi Thuan, owner of Binh Be restaurant in Can Tho; VIVU application in Can Tho; Mr. Pham Do Minh Trung and Mr.Trinh Vi Tan's family) to present 300 gifts to primary-school students in Phu Hoi commune, with a total amount of VND 25 million.

Chairman of the Phu Hoi Commune People's Committee Bui Thanh Son shared: "Phu Hoi commune is one of the most difficult areas in An Phu district with 26% of needy households. People in Phu Hoi mainly live on fishing. With the support of the Public Security Newspaper and other donors, students here will have a motive to study."
