Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police strives to ensure traffic safety and social order during Tet
PSNews - In the last days of the year, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police has actively implemented many plans to ensure traffic safety, security and social order in the region, helping people enjoy the Tet holiday in peace and happiness.
Despite the cold weather at these days, Hue welcomes at least 10,000 tourists per day, mostly foreigners from Japan, Korea, UK, France. Therefore, the work of ensuring social order and safety for visitors has been put on top.
Senior Colonel Phan Van Minh, Head of Advisory Division under the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police stated that during the Vietnamese traditional New Year, there will be a large number of tourist arrivals visiting Hue and the traffic volume will be increased rapidly. Preparing for this situation, the force has synchronously deployed specialized measures to maintain a favourable asmosphere for local people and visitors enjoying the Tet holiday in peace and happiness.
Particularly, the traffic police of the province has been accelerating the inspection at bus stations, preventing and handling in time with overload trucks and buses as well as buses which increase ticket compared to listed price.
Ealier, Senior Colonel Le Quoc Hung, Director of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police shared that the force built up many special task forces during these days including traffic police, mobile police, criminal police, aiming to patrol, control core areas, bars and F&B units.
"Addtionally, the provincial police have stepped up the mass mobilization in handing over weapons, firecrackers to prevent explosions and unexpected cases", he added.
