ASEAN Plus 2022 Police Music Festival to gather police forces from 7 countries
PSNews - The ASEAN Plus 2022 Police Music Festival is a cooperation channel among ASEAN police forces and ASEAN partners’ police forces, and a good opportunity for the Vietnamese police to promote its position, said Minister of Public Security General To Lam at a rehearsal of the Vietnamese music group to participate in the event, on July 2.

Speaking at a meeting after the rehearsal, Minister Lam stressed, the ASEAN Plus 2022 Police Music Festival is a special event within the framework of activities to celebrate the 6th founding anniversary of the People’s Police Force. The international event serves as a good opportunity to promote the country, people as well as police force of Vietnam.

It is also a good chance for the police force to demonstrate the police officer’s virtues of friendship, humanity and devotion to the people, contributing to building pure, strong, regular, elite and modernized Public Security Forces in line with the Politburo’s Resolution 12.
On the schedule, the ASEAN Plus 2022 Police Music Festival will take place on July 9 and 10 around Hoan Kiem Lake with the participation of seven musical groups from Vietnam, Japan, China, Brunei, Laos, the Philippines, Myanmar and the Vietnam People’s Army Musical Troupe.

The Vietnamese Police Music Troupe has participated in editions of the international police music festival in Japan, Germany and the USA. Due to Covid-19, the international police music festival has not been organized for several years so the ASEAN Plus Police Music Festival will become a cooperation channel for ASEAN and its partners’ police forces.

At the meeting between the minister and the organizing panel, Commander of the Mobile Police Command Major General Le Ngoc Chau said that the Vietnam Police Musical Group to participate in the event includes 127 officers. The musical group has trained since May 7 and has received positive comments from professionals. But the group is willing to listen to other comments to improve its performance.
According to him, the event will be broadcasted live on Cong An Nhan Dan (Public Security Forces) TV channel and VTV channel (Vietnam Television channel 1).
