Criminal Police Department celebrates its 50th founding anniversary and receives the Second Class Victory Medal
The Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony on February 22, 2023 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Criminal Police Department (February 22, 1973). Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, chaired the ceremony.
The Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony on February 22, 2023 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Criminal Police Department (February 22, 1973). Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, chaired the ceremony.
The ceremony also saw Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense and Security Lieutenant General Le Tan Toi, former Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le The Tiem, former Deputy Minister and Head of the Criminal Police Authority of the Ministry of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, former leaders of the General Department of Crime Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Public Security, former leaders of the Criminal Police Department, and others.
In his opening speech, Director of the Criminal Police Department Lieutenant General Tran Ngoc Ha said, over the past 50 years, from more than 20 officers and soldiers when it was first established on February 22, 1973, the Criminal Police Department has continuously grown in all aspects, but at any stage and in any situation, criminal police officers have always completed their assigned tasks.
With its achievements, the Criminal Police Department has been awarded many noble awards by the Party and State and especially on July 15, 2022, the Criminal Police Department was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
At its 50th founding ceremony, Party and State leaders once again rewarded the department the Second Class Victory Medal while four former leaders of the Criminal Police Department and five incumbent officers received Victory Medals of all grades and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc congratulated the Criminal Police Department for its achievements and victories over the past 50 years. He emphasized, in the coming time, the mission of the Criminal Police Force is very heavy, so the Criminal Police Department should play its core role in maintaining public order and security, take synchronous approaches to sustainably reduce 5% criminal crimes.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc believed that the Criminal Police Department with its 50-year history will continuously bring into full play its heroic tradition, obtain more outstanding achievements and feats, making contributions to the cause of the development and defense of the Fatherland and being worthy of the "peaceful fulcrum of the People"...
