Cyber security be ensured: Deputy Minister Quang
Deputy Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang delivered a keynote speech at the conference held on December 30 in Hanoi by the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi-tech Crimes (DCHC) under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to review their task performance in 2021 and roll out a work plan for 2022.

According to reports delivered at the conference, as the complicated COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 posed risks to cybersecurity, the DCHC requested all its officers and soldiers to stay alert around the clock to ensure network security and safety, and to fight crimes and law violations in cyberspace.
As a result, the department has successfully completed the goals of its 2021 work plan, quickly and successfully neutralizing all cybersecurity threats.
Particularly, the department has ensured absolute security for the national information network while participating in safeguarding network security for the two key projects of national population data and chip-based ID cards of the MPS.
In the year, the DCHC was awarded an Emulation Flag by the Government for their achievements in the 2021 emulation movement.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang recognized and praised the working results of the DCHC over the past year.
Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang requested the department to further complete the legal framework on cybersecurity protection while coordinating with other forces to suppress crimes in cyberspace and raising the people’s awareness of hi-tech crime prevention, contributing to maintaining cybersecurity in the country.
