Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang holds talks with Vice Minister of Justice of China

On the same day, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security to hold talks with Vice Minister of Justice of China Wang Zhenjiang.

At the talks, the leaders of the two ministries agreed to propose the competent authorities to allow the two ministries to officially establish cooperation relations in the fields of mutual concern.

The two sides also agreed to increase exchange of delegations of all levels, create all favorable conditions for leaders of the Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Justice of China to visit each other’s country, sign cooperation documents, make a legal framework for cooperation in the fields of mutual interest. 

The two sides will step up cooperation in training, experience sharing in the fields of prison management and law building.

According to the host, the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China takes due care of and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese citizens who are serving prison sentences in detention facilities in China while speeding up the negotiation and signing of an agreement on the transfer of convicts between Vietnam and China, creating conditions for the transfer of prisoners who wish to return to their country to serve their sentences in a humanitarian spirit.

* Earlier, on the evening of July 26, 2023, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security and had a meeting with Deputy Minister of State Security of China Shi Haoyong. 

At the meeting, the two leaders agreed on a number of important contents, such as enhancing exchange of delegations at all levels to share working experiences, issues of mutual concern, criminal information, as well as promote cooperation in professional fields and training of foreign languages, coordinate together to ensure the safety and legitimate interests of citizens of one country in the other country.
