Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long visits Cuba

A high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Van Long paid a visit to Cuba, from November 15 - 18.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Van Long and Minister of the Interior of Cuba Lieutenant General Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas had official talks, evaluating the results of the two sides’ implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of the Interior of Cuba signed in 2018.

The two sides were committed to strengthening security cooperation and coordination in preventing and combating transnational crimes, contributing to protecting national security and social order and safety of each country while enhancing exchange of working groups at all levels to expand fields of cooperation and promote the implementation of agreements signed between the two ministries.

* During his stay in Cuba, he also met the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba. Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long briefed the staff on the domestic situation, underlined the Embassy's role in promoting bilateral relations.

On the visit to the Cuba - Russia Fire Prevention and Training Center in Cuba, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, presented Cuba with some firefighting equipment.
