Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son sees off medical staff sent to Ho Chi Minh City
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), on August 23 met the mission of public security medical workers and doctors before they set off to Ho Chi Minh City to run the MPS’s field hospital based in the city.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), on August 23 met the mission of public security medical workers and doctors before they set off to Ho Chi Minh City to run the MPS’s field hospital based in the city.
The mission includes 100 medical workers and doctors from three level-1 hospitals under the Ministry of Public Security Forces, namely Hospital 19-8, Hospital 199, and Public Security Hospital of Traditional Medicine.
They will run a field hospital which is now being constructed in Phuoc Loc, Nha Be district, Ho Chi Minh City.
The field hospital has 100 beds for COVID-19 patients, and its capacity will be raised to 300 beds soon.
On behalf of the MPS’s leadership, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son assigned tasks to the mission and believed that they will successfully complete their assigned tasks, helping Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Southern provinces to quickly stamp out the pandemic
