Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To attends opening of school year at School of Culture
PSNews - The School of Culture under the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony on the morning of September 5, in Thai Nguyen province to open the 2023-2024 school year.
Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To Assoc. Prof., Dr., attended and made a keynote speech at the event.
Present at the opening ceremony were also Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province Nguyen Thanh Binh, leaders from the Representative Office of the Ministry of Public Security of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam, and representatives from agencies and units under the Ministry of Public Security, Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Department.
At the meeting, Rector of the School of Culture Colonel Do Thi Huyen Lan read a letter from President Vo Van Thuong to the education sector on the occasion of the opening of the 2023-2024 school year, and made the opening speech.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the leaders, staff, workers and students for the great effort and achievements of the School of Culture in the past school year, and expressed his belief that the teachers and students of the School of Culture will overcome all difficulties, successfully complete the educational program, and attain more achievements in the 2023-2024 school year.
Regarding major tasks of the School of Culture set out, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To emphasized, the school should strengthen Party work and force building, strive to build a clean and strong Party organization, regularly carry out political and ideological education, and effectively implement internal political protection work.
The school should also implement fundamental and comprehensive education and training reforms in line with the policies of the Party, the State, the Government, as well as the instructions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.
He underlined that investment in education is an investment in developing high-quality human resources for the building of the clean, strong, regular, elite and modernized People's Public Security Forces, articulated in Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo.
The deputy minister requested the school to further renovate its training programs, perfect curricula and teaching materials suitable for students, effectively exploit the “learner-centered” teaching method, apply information technology to the teaching process, encourage students to self-study and be creative while regularly inspecting and evaluating the school’s education and training quality, maintaining good discipline and student management, and fostering the good qualities of People's Public Security officers for students.
The school leadership should have plans to improve the qualifications of its teaching staff and educational administrators with a focus on young teachers and education managers.
According to the deputy minister, teachers must be exemplary in cultivating moral qualities, political bravery, and deserve to be a shining example for students to follow.
