General To Lam visits and presents Tet gifts to people and soldiers in Son La province

As part of the Working Program of Party and State leaders launched by the Politburo during the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, a working delegation led by Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General To Lam, paid a pre-Tet visit and presented Tet gifts to people and armed forces in Son La province on the morning of January 30.

Speaking at the meeting with local people and armed forces, the Minister of Public Security praised the achievements of Son La province in the past year, and requested the local authorities, armed forces and people to strengthen great solidarity, spread the spirit of "mutual love" and the national tradition of "drinking water, remember the source", strive for sustainable poverty reduction, and actively participate in the movement "The entire nation joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind."

Minister To Lam asked the Party Committee and authorities of Son La province to implement social security policies, taking care of the material and spiritual lives of all ethnic groups, policy families, poor households and unemployed labors.

On the occasion of Tet, the Minister of Public Security, representatives from the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Son La Provincial Party Committee offered more than 400 Tet gifts to people with meritorious services, policy families, poor households and workers in difficult circumstances as well as police officers at commune-level posts, and guards, corrections officers and contract workers at Yen Ha prison under the Ministry of Public Security. 

The Minister of Public Security also presented the Phu Yen District Medical Center with an ambulance worth over 1.2 billion VND.

* On the same day, General To Lam visited and gave gifts to officers of the Tan Lang Traffic Police Post under Traffic Police Team No. 2 of the Provincial Police Traffic Police Division stationed in Phu Yen district and planted a tree as a gift at the Headquarters of the Phu Yen District Police Station.
