Although the pandemic situation in HCMC has basically been put under control, but the number of infections is still increasing albeit at a low rate.

In this situation, police forces in the city continue working as frontline forces in the fight against the disease while safeguarding local security as well as supporting needy people in the locality.

The charity program carried out by the city’s police has offered more than 12 tons of rice, 200 boxes of ration packs, canned food, sugar, milk and instant noodles, worth over VND 950 million in total, to local people in Can Gio, Cu Chi, Hoc Mon districts and District 12. Earlier, police officers and soldiers in the city raised funds to buy the supplies.

While presenting supplies to people, police officers requested them to strictly observe anti-COVID regulations.

Police officers also went to lonely elderly and disabled people to give necessities to them.
