International friendly football tournament celebrates Public Security Forces’ Founding Day
The Department of Foreign Relations under the Ministry of Public Security organized an international friendly football tournament in celebration of the 79th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces (August 19th, 1945 – 2024) and the 19th anniversary of the “All people protecting national security” Festival (August 19th, 2005 – 2024), on the afternoon of August 9th, in Hanoi.
The tournament was joined by 9 football teams, of which 3 teams from MPS (including the Department of Foreign Relations, the People’s Security Academy and the People’s Police Academy) and 6 teams from embassies in Hanoi (including the Embassies of Australia, Cambodia, the Republic of Korea, Laos, the United Kingdom and the United States).
In recent years, the Ministry of Public Security often organized international friendly sport tournaments, aiming to create a healthy playground and strengthen friendship between Vietnamese Public Security Forces and embassies, police re-offices, and law enforcement agencies of other countries in Vietnam.
The tournament is of great significance as it arouses the pride of the 79-year glorious tradition of the Public Security Forces, promotes comradeship among public security units and agencies as well as strengthens friendship and mutual trust and support between the Vietnamese Public Security Forces and international partners.
