Minister To Lam meets EU delegation head in Vietnam
General To Lam, Minister of Public Security (MPS), on November 23, had a meeting with Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam.
General To Lam, Minister of Public Security (MPS), on November 23, had a meeting with Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam.
At the meeting, Minister To Lam highly appreciated the recent developments in relations and cooperation between Vietnam and the EU in the field of trade, environment, tourism, and security.
He also affirmed the cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and the European Union is thriving in a practical and effective way.
In the coming time, Minister To Lam suggested that the two sides should strengthen cooperation in combating transnational organized crime, human trafficking and illegal migration as well as boost cooperation in mutual legal assistance and criminal investigation.
For his part, Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti highlighted fruitful outcomes of cooperative relations in various fields between the EU and Vietnam in recent years.
Mr. Giorgio Aliberti pledged that he would do his best to further develop ties and cooperation between the Vietnamese MPS and the EU counterparts, contributing to maintaining national security of each side, peace and stability in the region and the world.
