Minister To Lam pays tribute to Dien Bien Phu’s heroic martyrs
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General To Lam, leading a delegation of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, offered incense and flowers in commemoration of heroic martyrs falling during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and planted memorial trees at Temple dedicaded to Dien Bien Phu Martyrs, on the afternoon of May 6th, 2024, in Dien Bien.

Showing their utmost respect and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap as well as all soldiers, youth volunteers and military labors heroically sacrificing their lives for national liberation and peace, Minister To Lam and delegates vowed to be absolutely loyal to the Party, serve the Fatherland and the People with all their hearts and souls, contributing to safeguarding and developing the country that the generations of our grandfathers and fathers have built and defended.
* Next, Minister To Lam visited and presented gifts to the family of former Deputy Director of the former Lai Chau Provincial Police Department Giang Pao Ly, who was twice awarded the title “Typical National Emulation Soldier” in 1964 and 1967, and was honored to meet President Ho Chi Minh twice.
On this occasion, Minister To Lam had a meeting with students of Le Quy Don High School and the Dien Bien’s Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities and presented the two schools with 70 computers.
Minister To Lam also presented two ambulances to the 7/5 Hospital under the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department and the Nam Po District Medical Center.
* On the same day, a delegation of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, visited the A1 National Martyrs’ Cemetary to offer incense and flowers in commemoration of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
