Overview of the reception.

The host congratulated Mr. Jigjee Sereejav on his new appointment and wished the incoming Ambassador a successful term of office.

He also affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security is willing to cooperate and create favorable conditions for the Ambassador to fulfill his duties in Vietnam.

General To Lam emphasized that, along with the good friendship between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Mongolia, the cooperation relationship between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and relevant Mongolian agencies has extensively developed in all fields.

The two sides have maintained regular contacts and exchanges of information, experience sharing in corrections of prisoners, fight against drug and environmental crimes.

Particularly, the Mongolian side has help the Vietnamese Public Security Forces to develop the Cavalry Mobile Police Force.

In order to promote the bilateral cooperation, Minister To Lam suggested the two sides continue to strengthen information exchange and be ready to resume exchange of delegations at all levels after the COVID-19 pandemic is put under control.

The two sides should strongly further cooperation in preventing transnational crimes and popularizing the laws of the host country to citizens of the other country while promptly supporting and protecting citizens of one country living and studying in the other.

They should strengthen cooperation in training and capacity building of law enforcement agencies as well as promote the negotiation on a Memorandum of Understanding on transnational drug crime prevention and control, and immigration, the Vietnamese Minister added.

For his part, the guest thanked Minister To Lam for his warm reception and affirmed that he will try his best to promote the cooperation between the two countries, and between the relevant Mongolian agencies and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, for benefits of the two peoples as well as for peace and stability in the region and the world.
