Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of National Defence jointly draft a bill

The Drafting Committee for the Law on Defence and Security Industry and Industrial Mobilization held a conference discussing important contents of the bill, on May 25, 2023.

At the meeting, the delegates heard the announcement of the decision on the establishment of the Drafting Committee for the Law on Defence and Security Industry and Industrial Mobilization, decision on the establishment the Editorial Team of the Law on Defence and Security Industry and Industrial Mobilization, as well as the working regulations of the two groups.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Head of the Drafting Committee and Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested the advisory agencies of the Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Public Security to take note and study ideas and opinions given by delegates while proactively draft decrees and circulars to complete the profile of the law project so as to submit it to the National Assembly for consideration as scheduled. 

Regarding some contents, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung suggested that relevant public security agencies and units coordinate closely with their counterparts from the Ministry of National Defense to carefully review sections of the bill related to defense and security products and means so the bill when coming in force can become a strategic, practical and long-live document.
