Ministry of Public Security plans to make film about General Tran Dai Quang
PSNews - Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To chaired a meeting to discuss the production of a film about late President and Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang as well as a documentary film in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces, on the afternoon of February 8, 2023.
In the buildup to the 80th founding anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945), the Ministry of Public Security has planned to make a film about late President and Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang as well as his great contribution to the cause of developing and defending the Fatherland and building the People's Public Security Forces.
The Ministry of Public Security has entrusted the Department of Party and political work and relevant agencies to work with the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee on the production of the film.
Under the direction of the Standing Member of the Secretariat on the content of the film, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To asked delegates at the meeting to give their ideas on the plan to make the film while requesting relevant agencies under the Ministry of Public Security to collect information and documentation about the late minister.
Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Information and Education Phan Xuan Thuy said that the Standing Member of the Secretariat assigned the Central Commission for Information and Education along with the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Party Personnel Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to direct the Central Documentary and Scientific Film to collect documents and images of General Tran Dai Quang for archives and preservation, being ready for use on the occasion of the establishment of the Public Security Forces.
The plan to make the film has been drawn up in line with Report No. 88 of the Politburo.
According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, it is necessary to make a documentary film about the late President in line with the plan to collect and archive documents and images of him.
Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong affirmed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, the Presidential Office, the Office of the Party Central Committee, and the Ministry of Public Security as well as the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee and related agencies to write the film scripts, based on collected materials.
At the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To thanked the delegates for their ideas on the production of the film and asked the Central Commission for Information and Education to establish a steering committee for the production of films while the Public Security Central Party Committee along with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will guide the Central Documentary and Science Film to make the best-quality documentary.
