Welcoming Secretary Jadamba Enkhbayar and members of the Mongolian National Security Council Delegation to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, Minister To Lam highlighted the positive developments in the traditional friendship between the two countries, saying that the two countries are currently working together to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations Vietnam and Mongolia (November 17, 1954).

On behalf of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, Minister To Lam thanked the Mongolian side for offering purebred and healthy horses and sending experts to train Vietnamese police officers, contributing to building the cavalry police force of the Public Security Forces.

At the talks, the two sides shared their common viewpoints in handling international relations of mutual concern.

Regarding cooperation in crime prevention and control, the two sides collaborate in the fight against transnational crimes such as drug-related crime, high-tech crime, cybercrime, epidemics, environmental pollution, climate change while strengthen the exchange of information related to criminals, terrorists as well as criminal methods, tricks or forged documents related to immigration management.

Recently, the two sides promoted coordination and effectively implemented cooperation agreements signed between the two countries such as agreement on transfer of sentenced persons, agreement on mutual protection and exchange of confidential information, as well as strengthened cooperation in training cadres, exchanged experience in joining UN peacekeeping activities, and improved staff capacity in the fields of cavalry operation.
