MPS attaches importance to ensuring worker security

PSNews - Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Pham The Tung chaired a meeting to deploy the tasks of ensuring worker security within the Public Security Forces in Dong Nai.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung underlined that worker security is an essential component of economic security and national security.

The Deputy Minister released that the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) had consistently regarded worker security as an important task of the People's Public Security Forces, so MPS leaders directed the Public Security Forces nationwide to take comprehensive and effective measures to maintain worker security, particularly in the context of Vietnam's deep international integration, over the past years.

During the meeting, representatives from various public security units and agencies evaluated the current worker security situation, discussed threats and challenges to worker security and working people, pointed out difficulties and limitations, as well as proposed approaches to prevent and counter any controversies and acts aimed at undermining worker security or making use of workers to threaten national security and public order.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung recognized and praised the achievements made by public security units and agencies at all levels in ensuring worker security.

Regarding key tasks in the coming time, the Deputy Minister requested that public security units and agencies across the country should immediately overcome existing shortcomings and challenges by implementing plans to maintain worker security, in which responsibility of each officer should clearly be determined, and each assignment should include a clear deadline and outcome.

Furthermore, public security units and agencies should proactively detect and settle worker security issues early, from afar and at the grassroots level, avoiding any strategic surprises.

Additionally, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested the Public Security Forces to actively advise the Party and State on completing legal frameworks, issuing policies and regimes to protect the rights, welfare, and benefits of workers while assisting trade unions at all levels in improving spiritual and material lives of workers as well as in protecting their legitimate rights and interests.
