MPS breaks ground on project to build 1,200 houses for the poor in Dak Lak
PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with the authorities of Dak Lak province held a ceremony to award model home, offer funding and break ground on a project to build 1,200 homes for poor households in the province, including policy families and families of ethnic minorities, on the morning of March 21, 2024.
The project aims to contribute to the entire society’s effort to eradicate hunger and reduce poverty in the province as well as to support poor locals and ethnic minorities to overcome their difficulties, have better lives and participate actively in maintaining order and security, the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security had initiated the project to build 1,200 houses for the poor in Dak Lak province.
The Office of the Ministry of Public Security and Dak Lak Provincial Police Department had organized a field survey and advised their higher-level authorities on the project.
The house model was then designed on the basis of upgrading of house model 36B introduced by the Ministry of Public Security.
It has strong foundations, strong frame, solid walls, durable roof and suit local weather, culture as well as customs and practices of local people, especially the local ethnic minorities.
Funding for the building of 1,200 houses comes from the Ministry of Public Security, Dak Lak province and other social sources.
The first two model houses have been build and handed over to the two Ede poor households of Ms. H' Ngêh Eban in Ea Sut village, Ea Pok town and Mr. Y Krech Adrong in Kna A village, Cu M'gar commune.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang said that it is a meaningful, humane and practical project in the buildup to the 120th founding anniversary of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904).
