MPS celebrates to Vietnam Law Day
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) organized a meeting to celebrate the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Law Day), on the morning of November 7th, in Hanoi.
Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the meeting.
Delivering his opening speech, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung underlined that MPS as well as all of its affiliated units and agencies are actively celebrating the Law Day by carrying out many specific, practical activities with creative themes and slogans calling on the entire Public Security Forces to seriously observe and honor the laws each day not only on the Law Day.
Specifically, public security units and agencies attached the celebration of the Law Day with important political and legal events of the country.
Earlier, the Public Security Party Central Committee and the leaders of MPS have drafted a special program on the celebration of the Law Day, requesting all public security units and agencies to proactively advise law-making bodies on laws related to security and order, contributing to making a strategic breakthrough in perfecting institutions, one of the three strategic breakthroughs set by the 13th National Party Congress.
At the meeting, delegates shared their hands-on experience and effective methods in law popularization and education in their sectors and localities.
Addressing the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Party Central Committee and leaders of MPS, Minister Luong Tam Quang applauded the outstanding achievements of the whole Public Security Forces in perfecting institutions, popularizing and educating laws over the past time.
The Minister requested that Party committees and leaders of all public security units and agencies should regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of policies and laws after their promulgation, advise competent authorities to adjust inadequacies and contradictions among current laws so as to soon remove "bottlenecks" in implementing the laws.
In addition, the Minister also asked public security units and agencies to proactively detect issues arising from the practice of ensuring security and order, advise competent authorities to craft pilot resolutions to them, contributing to the economic, cultural and social development of the country, national defense and security protection as well as raising the quality of people’s material and spiritual lives.
