MPS holds fourth symposium on building National Data Center

Standing Deputy Head of the Project 06 Working Group and Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired the meeting with the participation of experts, scientists and representatives from agencies under the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc stated, ministries, branches and localities are building and using data in various fields.

“I hope that experts, scientists and delegates will focus on analyzing and evaluating methods of using and standardizing data so as to reach consensus on the most effective method, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and consolidating security and defence”, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc stressed. 

As different ministries, branches and localities have different tasks, but the national data system needs a comprehensive and united structure, the deputy minister suggested that experts, scientists and delegates make recommendations on the building of the National Data Center so as to effectively connect and develop data of ministries, branches and localities. 

During the discussion, experts, scientists and delegates clarified the issues related to the building of a National Data Center, including platforms for the Government and Prime Minister to manage the center and lead ministries, branches and localities, the database structure of the customs sector.

Delegates also shared experience in running information technology system of the customs sector, the information and data structure model of the education and training sector, the comprehensive information structure model of the natural resources and environment sector, the building of the reference model and orientation for data development in Binh Duong province.

The Project 06 Working Group was entrusted to gather all ideas and opinions given by experts, scientists and delegates at the meeting to complete the project to build a National Data Center.
