MPS Inspectorate receives second-class “Fatherland Protection” Order

PSNews - The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony to celebrate its 55th founding anniversary (May 28, 1967 - 2022) and receive the second-class “Fatherland Protection” Order.

The MPS Inspectorate was established under a decision by the Minister of Public Security on May 28, 1967.

Over the past 55 years, the MPS Inspectorate and local police departments’ inspectorates have developed as a center of the inspection service, always being attached to people, and fulfilling all political tasks assigned to them.

Under the authority of the State President, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To awards the second-class “Fatherland Protection” Order to the MPS Inspectorate.

The inspection force has tried its best to settle citizens’ complaints and reports on faults and wrongdoings of public security units and officers during their task performances and advised the MPS leadership on solutions to prevent and combat corruption, wastefulness and wrongdoings inside the Public Security Forces.

In recognition of its achievements over the past years, the State President has rewarded the MPS Inspectorate the second-class “Fatherland Protection” Order.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the achievements made by generations of public security inspectors over the past 55 years.

He asked the public security inspection force at all levels to continue advising and assisting Party committees and leaders of public security agencies, police units in maintaining security and social order, regularly conduct inspections, settle people’s complaints and petitions, hold regular meetings with citizens, and contributed positively to preventing and fighting corruption, wastefulness, and wrongdoings in the Public Security Forces.

He also asked them to strengthen their coordination with relevant agencies responsible for investigation, audit, internal affairs while working out mechanisms to promote the role of mass organizations, media and press agencies in supervising and inspecting the Public Security Forces.
