Major General Le Van Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event.

Reports delivered by leaders of the Logistics Department at the conference read that, over the past time, the MPS’s support agencies stationed in the South have made a great effort to perform their assigned tasks such as welcoming foreign delegations invited to the country by the MPS in line with diplomatic protocols and serving leaders of the State and the MPS during their visits to Ho Chi Minh City and other Southern provinces.

They also carefully arranged transportation and accommodation for MPS leaders during their working trips to the South as well as coordinated with relevant units to organize MPS-hosted international conferences in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen praised the efforts and achievements made by the agencies, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Deputy Minister emphasized the need to strictly manage land, facilities and vehicles allocated to the Public Security Forces in the South in accordance with the legal regulations.

He stressed, the Logistics Department should coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review the planning of the MPS Headquarters based in Ho Chi Minh City as well as measured the land managed and used by the MPS in the city.

The renovation of the HCMC-based MPS Headquarters should be performed in an organizational manner, and avoid construction delay or waste of funding, he asked.

The Deputy Minister also requested the Logistics Department and related agencies to arrange sufficient accommodations and suitable workplaces for officers of under-ministerial agencies stationed in the South.
