MPS leaders pay tribute to late Deputy Minister Tran Quyet

PSNews - Minister General To Lam leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on February 11 visited to the family of Lieutenant General Tran Quyet and paid tribute to the late Deputy Minister on his 100th birthday.

Deputy Ministers of Public Security, namely Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Major General Le Quoc Hung, Major General Le Van Tuyen among other senior officers of the MPS joined the delegation.

Tran Quyet (1922 - 2010) was a steadfast, courageous communist and an exemplary leader of the People's Public Security Forces. He was member to the Party Central Committee of the 4th-6th term and the 7th tenure National Assembly.

Minister To Lam and the delegation pay tribute to Lieutenant General Tran Quyet.

He held the position of Deputy Minister of Public Security from 1967 to 1975, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs from 1975 to 1987, and Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy from 1987 to 1992.

Minister To Lam and other delegates offered flowers and incense to Lieutenant General Tran Quyet at his house in Hanoi. The delegation and Deputy Minister Quyet’s family then watched a documentary on his life and revolutionary career, and shared stories about the late leader.

Minister To Lam affirmed, the MPS leadership, all officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces are grateful to Lieutenant General Tran Quyet for his great contribution to the cause of national security protection, social order and safety maintenance and the force development.
