MPS, Ministry of Science and Technology enhance coordination in scientifc research
PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology held a conference, on the afternoon of May 9, 2023, in Hanoi, to review the two-year implementation of Program No.14/Ctr-BCA-BKHCN dated on December 31, 2020, on scientific and technological cooperation between the two ministries.
Minister of Public Security General To Lam Dr., Prof., and Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat Dr., Assoc. Prof., co-chaired the conference.
Speaking at the conference, Minister Huynh Thanh Dat suggested that units of the two ministries review and adjust the content of the program framework to ensure the program feasibility, in line with research capacity and the actual situation in the Ministry of Public Security.
The two sides enhanced information exchange and connected their national science and technology databases to promote the application and development of science and technology in the Public Security Forces.
Minister To Lam appreciated and highlighted the contributions of agencies and units under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Public Security to the success of Program No. 14.
Minister To Lam also wished to receive timely, effective and comprehensive coordination from the Ministry of Science and Technology so as to effectively implement key tasks of the program in the period of 2023 - 2025.
The Minister also requested that agencies and units under the Ministry of Public Security should effectively coordinate with functional units of the Ministry of Science and Technology to overcome difficulties and settle problems to effectively research and apply scientific and technological advances to the operation of the Public Security Forces.
Agencies and units of the two sides should actively advise leaders of the two ministries to successfully complete the coordination contents of Program No. 14, draw up scientific research plans, and develop coordination orientations for the next phase.
