MPS reviews professional records and archives sector’s performance

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a videoconference on November 16 connecting the Office of Public Security Records and Achieves with nationwide public security agencies and units to review results of the task performance of the public security records and archives sector in 2021.

Major General Le Quoc Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired the event.

According to reports at the virtual conference, the Department of Public Security Records and Archives had successfully fulfilled all of their 2021 tasks.

During the meeting, delegates focused on analyzing the force’s difficulties and shortcomings in executing its tasks in 2021.

They also gave recommendations and suggestions to improve the force’s working efficiency in the time to come.

For his part, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung applauded the achievements gained by the force over the past time.

An overview of the event. 

The deputy minister asked all public security agencies and units to seriously implement working regulations, procedures and instructions of the ministry on preservation and use of records and archives.

Leaders and officers in the Public Security Forces should raise their awareness of the position and importance of keeping professional records and archives, considering it an important professional task of the Public Security Forces.

Leaders of agencies and units should regularly strengthen inspection of the work and swiftly address any shortcomings in the work.

Meanwhile, the records and archives sections of all public security  agencies and units at all levels should improve the efficiency of their statistics, analysis, assessment and clarification of professional documents, pay more attention to the management of professional records and archives, enhance application of informatics to the work.
