NA delegation meets voters in Long An

Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Defense and Security Committee Major General Le Tan Toi and members of the NA Delegation of Long An province met voters in Duc Hue and Tan Tru districts on June 21.

At the meeting, NA deputies briefed local voters on results of the third NA sitting and informed them of how competent agencies responded to the issues and questions raised by local voters in the previous meetings. According to NA deputies, the 15th NA passed five laws, discussed 6 law projects, make resolutions to major issues of the country.

The results of the third NA session showed that the NA, the President, the Government, the Prime Minister, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, relevant agencies and organizations always listen to the voters’ and people’s opinions, promptly make important decisions, direct competent agencies to effectively solve their issues and difficulties, contributing to socio-economic recovery and development.

After that, local voters voiced their concerns about inadequacies in textbook renewal, agricultural land use issues or low allowances for village-level officials. Representatives from functional agencies of the province responded to voter’s questions based on their functions, responsibilities, and missions.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Le Tan Toi affirmed that he and other NA deputies will pass local voters’ issues and ideas to the NA’s agencies, competent State agencies for solution.
