OIPA holds conference to deploy 2022 action plan

The Office of the Investigation Police Agency (OIPA) under the Ministry of Public Security held a conference under the chair of OIPA Chief Lieutenant General Do Van Hoanh to review its task performance in 2021 and roll out its working program for 2022.

According to the summary report delivered at the event, all leaders and staff of OIPA have upheld their sense of responsibility and made special efforts to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks in the year.

In particular, the unit has contributed to curbing the crime rate by 11.3% compared to 2020 while improving the quality of their guidance and appraisal of criminal cases investigated by lower-level investigation agencies.

OIPA also strictly inspected law observance of their affiliated investigation agencies during their criminal investigations, thus promptly detecting and correcting wrongdoings in investigation processes, contributing to improving the quality of crime prevention and handling, and ensuring the pace of crime investigation.

The office also promoted criminal legal assistance and cooperation with international partners in criminal proceedings while performing duties as the INTERPOL Vietnam Office, making significant contributions to strengthening foreign relations of the Public Security Forces.

In recognition of its achievements in 2021, the OIPA was awarded the first-class “Feat of Arms” Order by the State President and an "Excellent Emulation Flag" by the Prime Minister. Various officers and teams of the office were honored by authorities at all levels.

Regarding its action plan, in 2022, OIPA will proactively study crime situations and guide the investigation police force to deal with them as well as promptly advise the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership to direct investigation and handling of crimes, and make efforts to fulfill other tasks assigned.
